Student Assistant (m/f/d) in Scientific Management

About us

IMB (www.imb.de) is a research institute on the campus of Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany.  It is generously funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Our research focuses on DNA repair, epigenetics, ageing and RNA biology, among others.

The position

We are looking for a Student Assistant (m/f/d) to support our Scientific Management team with the coordination of the SFB 1361 (www.sfb1361.de).

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Supporting the SFB coordinator with the organisation of events (such as seminars, meetings and courses)
  • Supporting the SFB coordinator with maintaining the SFB’s webpage 
  • Other activities may include administrative tasks, updating of documents, compiling information for presentations/statistics etc.

Requirements

We are looking for a ​dynamic and creative person who:
  • Enjoys working in an international and interdisciplinary environment
  • Possesses good communication and organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Has good knowledge of English (spoken and written) and at least basic knowledge of German
  • Has good PC knowledge (MS Office incl. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
